Falcata lumber is a lumber that is made entirely of falcata, both the core and the surface veneers.

Features of Falcata Lumber

In order to gain thickness, the core material as well as the surface veneer will be plywood that is made in Falcata.
Due to the restrictions on lauan logging, there has been a huge increase in shipments in recent years.
Falcata is a very fast-growing wood with low density, which makes it the lightest plywood currently available with a thickness of 12mm or more.
Thicknesses range from 12 to 30 mm.

The surface is also falcata, which is relatively white in color and has a beautiful appearance.
However, since it is not made for surfaces, uneven colors may occur depending on the lot.

Applications of the Falcata Lumber

Since it is lightweight and inexpensive for its thickness, its shipment volume has been increasing in recent years as a core material for furniture.
It is used as a core material for all kinds of furniture by attaching a decorative plywood or melamine veneer on top.
However, due to its light weight, care should be taken when using it in places where loads are applied.
