When I was a student, I loved arts and crafts, technology and art classes. There was a class where students could bring in materials such as wood and freely create whatever they wanted, and I was excited to take that class.
I think it was around that time that I started to think that I wanted to work in a job where I could make things in the future.
When I visited our company for an interview during my job search, I saw the products being manufactured and the employees working diligently and efficiently, and I knew I wanted to work for this company.
The order of production is decided according to the delivery date.
In my first year at the company, I focused on processing wooden boards and finishing and packing products. After that, I started to produce store fixtures (display stands for products in department stores, supermarkets, etc.). If necessary, I have a meeting with the designer, read the drawing for decorative boards and hardware, and place an order.
Once we receive an order from a customer, we decide on the order of production according to the delivery date, and proceed with the lamination of decorative boards and plywood, wood cutting, NC and other processing, assembly, finishing, and packaging. There are times when I can finish all the work by myself, but there are also many times when I have to divide the work among the different processes, so it is important to send out a message when I take over the work.
I am now able to work more smoothly than when I first started, but I still need to improve my work efficiency and ask my seniors to help me with some tasks, so my future goal is to be able to work perfectly on my own.
There are times when I am called upon to do on-site work, and when a customer says, "I can trust you with Koyoju Plywood Corporation."
I am grateful to my seniors for creating a history that allows customers to say that, and I feel happy that I have become a member of such a company.
When I visited our company for an interview during my job search, I saw the products being manufactured and the employees working diligently and efficiently, and I knew I wanted to work for this company.
I also feel rewarded when I see the store fixtures that I manufactured being used on site, when I am able to do something that I was not able to do before, or when I am able to change the setup of the same store fixture for a second time rather than the first, or for a third time rather than the second, and when my work efficiency increases as a result.
