At my previous job, I was working in a steel manufacturing company, which was completely different from my current job, but I liked to move my body, so when I was looking for a new job, I was mainly looking for a job where I could move my body.
I also wanted to try a job in a different industry, so I decided to change jobs.
My job is to deliver lumber and plywood.
I started from "unknown" and "ignorant" about lumber, so I had a lot of anxiety. When I first joined the company, I had no experience driving a truck at all, and I was very worried about whether I could drive.
The senior staff around me taught me carefully, and now I am able to drive a truck with confidence. I didn`t have any knowledge of lumber at all, but I have learned a lot about lumber through the delivery business, and my knowledge of lumber has increased through conversations with customers.
When I first started delivering, I just put the items on the customer`s shelf, but as the number of deliveries increased, I realized that the placement of the items changed depending on the item, so I made sure to neatly organize the items before delivering them. I was really happy when I received my first "thank you" for all my hard work.
If there is anything that I don`t understand or can`t do well, I can consult with my supervisor or senior employees, and they will politely teach me.
I believe that job hunting is a major turning point in your life.
Whether or not you can find a job that you want to do and that you find worthwhile will determine how you live for half of your life. I think it is a world where there is no right answer, so it is important to face the company honestly with your own ideas without trying to find a model answer.
I think it is important to know yourself well in order to face the company honestly, and to choose a company that cares about you and suits you. Finally, if you see me in the office, please feel free to talk to me at any time.
I'll be waiting for you.
